Who YOU Are:
We are seeking a versatile IT Engineer with L1/L2 experience in both desktop support and cybersecurity operations. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about troubleshooting user issues while contributing to the organization’s cybersecurity posture. You will provide technical support across hardware, software, and network systems, while also participating in the detection and initial response to security threats.
What You'll Do:
End-User Support & IT Operations (L1/L2):
- Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users on Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, network, and connectivity issues (remote and on-site).
- Perform account administration (Active Directory, Office 365, Google Workspace).
- Manage endpoint deployments, OS imaging, patching, and asset lifecycle.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and support documentation.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Support collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, MS Teams/Slack, VPNs, etc.)
- Monitor and triage alerts from security tools such as antivirus, EDR, and SIEM platforms.
- Perform basic threat analysis and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Assist with phishing investigations and awareness training.
- Support vulnerability scanning and endpoint hardening efforts.
- Follow incident response playbooks and document events accurately.
- Contribute to maintaining system and security logs for compliance and auditing.
What We're Looking For:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of IT support experience in a Windows/macOS environment.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection tools, patch management, and remote desktop platforms.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Understanding of common security threats and preventative measures.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
Bonus Points:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified, ITIL, or Cisco CCNA.
- Experience with tools like Kandj, Intune, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Cisco Meraki, SIEM
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and identity management (SSO, MFA).
- Scripting or automation familiarity (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus.
- Experience supporting ticketing systems such as Jira, Zendesk, or ServiceNow.
